WHO WE ARE

Founded by Julie Hulstein in 2011, Vi Bella means Beautiful Life. During her first mission trip to Haiti, Julie witnessed a desperate need for good jobs to keep families together and children out of orphanages and other desperate situations. We started with jewelry production, and have since included sewn goods and traditional Haitian/Mexican home goods to our product offerings. We are a 501c3 and proud member of the Fair Trade Federation. Currently, we employ over 50 artisans in two centers in Haiti; with over 50% of our Port-au-Prince team having a disability for whom finding employment can be close to impossible. Additionally, we care for the whole person/family by providing school scholarships for our artisans' children, and medical/housing assistance as needed.

OUR MISSION

To empower individuals and communities to break free from extreme poverty and build more beautiful lives through dignified employment.

OUR VISION

Vi Bella envisions a world where individuals and communities thrive through empowerment and education. By equipping artisans with skills, knowledge, and resources, we foster sustainable growth and ethical consumerism. Our dedication to innovation, impact, and collaboration ensures lasting success and a more compassionate world.
